For the safety and health of our community, the following tented outdoor spaces will be available for the fall term 2021:
Available for Reservation
Ancell Plaza — Max Reception: 345 people, Theater: 460 people, and Banquet Rounds: 275 people
Dodge Plaza — Max 100 people reception with existing picnic table setup. A pedestrian walkway must be always made available for access to Dodge building.
Reservable Tented Outdoor Spaces will be prioritized for annual university milestone events otherwise they may be reserved by:
Columbia schools and departments: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Recognized Student Groups: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
When not booked for an event, these spaces will be set up with tables and chairs for use by the Columbia community. Any affiliate group may book the above space any time between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. if there is no existing reservation within 10 business days prior to the event day.
Event reservation times may not exceed three hours to allow maximum programming options available to the community. A minimum of two hours is required between events for set-up, break-down, and sanitation.
After November 1, 2021, to heat the tents, all walls of the tents will be dropped which will classify them as indoor spaces. All guidelines for using the indoor spaces will apply to tents with four walls down.
