About Classrooms

Columbia's classrooms are primarily reserved for academic purposes, but outside of instruction these spaces can be used for meetings, lectures, and other events. The Event Management team helps to schedule classrooms for non-course related bookings on behalf of the University Registrar. Visit the Registrar's website to view a list of available classrooms. Then, log-in to EMS to reserve the classroom.

Availability & Policies

During Academic Year

Classrooms cannot be booked during the first three weeks of each semester, but are available for reservations at any other time during the academic year. Course-related activities take priority, other space requests are subject to Office of the Registrar approval. Operating hours vary building to building.

Summer Academic Session

Classrooms cannot be booked during the first three weeks of the summer semester but are available for reservations at any other time during the summer session.  Course-related activities take priority; other space requests are subject to Office of the Registrar approval. Operating hours vary building to building.

Summer & Winter Breaks

Classrooms can be booked during summer break (end of August) or winter break by reaching out to [email protected].  Operating hours vary building to building and certain fees may apply during break periods.
