About Our Residence Hall Lounges

Columbia's Residence Hall lounges provide beautiful spaces for Columbia students and authorized groups to host small gatherings, including meetings, seminars, performances and more. Lounge-type seating is available in each space, and additional furniture can be rented. Several lounges provide a piano for performance-use.

Recognized Student Groups need an Event Management System (EMS) account to book space and services.

Availability & Policies

During Academic Year

Available only to students and authorized University affiliates during the academic year. Space availability is available within the University Event Management System (EMS) and spaces can be reserved within EMS as well. Lounges in first-year residence halls cannot be reserved.

Summer & Winter Breaks

Residence Hall lounges cannot be reserved outside of the academic year.

Performances

Performance Lounges can only be booked Friday – Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. by performance groups. Performances cannot be amplified.
