Low Library Burden Room

About the Space:

Originally the Columbia College Dean’s Office, in 1964 the space was officially appointed the Twombly-Burden Room. The Burden Room looks out on Earl Hall and upper campus. The room features a fixed 14' x 6' oval conference table, set with 11 chairs and an additional 19 chairs against the wall (30 chairs total). The room is equipped for teleconferences and has a built in screen for presentations. There are additional tables set in the foyer.

Who Can Book This Venue:

Space in Low Library is available only to Columbia affiliates. Recognized student groups wishing to request space in Low Library should contact the student events team. Requests for undergraduate alcohol events will be decided on a case by case basis following close consultation between the group advisor, Event Management and additional stakeholders as warranted.

Recommended Uses:

The space is best used for breakout sessions, breakfasts, lunches and dinners or as a green room, event staff office and press room. Recognized student groups wishing to request space in Low Library should contact the student events team.

Space Configuration:
